Wooded farmland and gorgeous blooms started the inspiration for this beautiful styled shoot. Catherine Threlkeld, the photographer and stylist behind it all, pulled together this dreamy vendor curated session which was published in The Rising Tide Society magazine.
Before deciding on a makeup look, I took a peek at the floral arrangements. The organically, cascading bouquet with hints of dark tones throughout really resonated with me. Thinking about how the bouquet could reflect the look and how colors in nature can be dark (bark, dried leaves, dirt) I wanted to incorporate a smokey look, but still have a bit of a softness to it.
The end result was so beautifully captured! Soft, smokey browns on the eyes with a dark lash line and a sunkissed glow along the contour of the cheeks was absolutely perfect. And not to mention our model's full, high cheekbones with just a touch of tea rose blush!
We can thank Mother Nature too... it was sprinkling just a bit at the start of the shoot and then cleared up revealing the best light! I'd say it all pulled together gloriously!
