I'm Kira, the girl behind the makeup brush and the soft hum of the airbrush compressor. Being a makeup artist is more than a career for me, it is a passion and a creative outlet for a beautiful form of art.
In 2009 I became a cosmetologist and decided to further my education in makeup artistry as well. I attended Cosmix School of Makeup Artistry in Fort Lauderdale FL, where I received my certificate in multi-media makeup artistry. From that point on, I began collaborating with local photographers and utilizing my skills through editorial photo shoots. Not long after that, and once a few weddings were under my belt, I realized my true love was really making brides feel beautiful and at ease on their wedding day.
So, here we are today ten years later! With countless weddings behind me and many brides in my "book", I am so happy to be able to utilize my artistic skills to provide timeless beauty to those of whom I am so privileged to be a part of their special day.
Warmth & Comfort
My cup of tea, figuratively and literally! I love a good cup of tea. Classic black tea with honey and lemon is my morning staple, while a soothing chamomile is such a nice way to end the day. And, anytime in-between I love to try new herbal blends. When you think of what a nice cup of tea can be, you might say: sweet, comfortable (down to earth), warm and inviting. I tend to describe myself the same way 😉
It may sound cliché but there is something about a timeless classic that makes my heart sing! Like, Cinderella... so elegant and so poised. From the original to Rodgers and Hammerstein's to the latest Disney remake, they all have such a beautiful message. Kindness is a form of beauty. This has always resonated with me.
Cozy, Minimalistic Style
I absolutely adore a comfortable cozy home with minimalistic décor of a primitive quality. Soft, neutral, linen textiles and simplistic, un finished, wooden furniture on wide pine floors are so timeless to me. My style and approach to what I do can definitely be taken from this.
